Your day begins with a 45-minute drive from your hotel in Marrakech to the Agafay Desert, the closest desert to the city. As you leave the urban hustle behind, take in the shifting landscapes on the way to this serene and stony desert. The journey offers panoramic views of Berber villages and the Atlas Mountains in the distance.
Upon arrival in Agafay, enjoy a warm Berber welcome followed by a home-cooked three-course lunch in a traditional tent. Savor Moroccan salad, lamb or vegetable tagine, couscous, and seasonal fruits, all served in the open air. After lunch, relax with a refreshing glass of mint tea as you soak up the desert sun and silence.
The adventure continues through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, where you'll visit a local Berber house to experience traditional Moroccan hospitality. Then head to Lake Takerkoust, a peaceful recreational spot for locals. Here, enjoy a tea break with views of the dam and discover why it's a popular place for boating and swimming.
Before heading back to Marrakech, take time to explore the breathtaking surroundings.
