Your aerial adventure begins with pickup from your hotel and transfer by car to the launch site, where you'll have the chance to see the balloon inflate accompanied by unlimited tea and/or coffee. After a safety briefing, climb aboard and hold on tight as you take off and float high in the sky while taking in the sights.
You can expect an early start with a pickup between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM (depending on the season), as flights are scheduled to coincide with sunrise. The entire experience lasts approximately 4 hours from pickup to drop-off. This includes the transfer to the launch site (usually in the Jebilet desert area), flight preparation, a 45-60 minute flight, a traditional post-flight breakfast, and the return drive to your hotel or Riad in Marrakech.
For safety reasons, this activity is not recommended for pregnant travelers or individuals with serious back or heart problems, as the landing can sometimes be bumpy. While most children can participate, they must be accompanied by an adult, and there may be minimum age or height requirements depending on the specific basket height. Additionally, there is often a weight limit (typically around 100kg per person) mentioned in safety guidelines.
The standard package includes round-trip hotel transportation, a pre-flight tea or coffee while watching the balloon inflation, the hot air balloon flight itself, and a traditional Berber breakfast served in a tent after landing. You will also receive a commemorative flight certificate to take home.
